EMSLIE Lilian (Peebles) Lilian's next-of-kin wish to thank all those who sent cards and other expressions of sympathy and who attended the service at Mortonhall, where the retiring collection raised £221, which has been passed to Cancer Research. Our thanks also to the Rev Malcolm Jefferson for his very personal and apt service and to Leslie Stewart, of William Purves, undertakers, for his compassionate and helpful advice regarding the funeral arrangements. Particular thanks to the staff of Peebles Nursing Home, who cared for Lilian in her last illness.
