TURNER Allen (Peebles late of Walkerburn) Suddenly at home on Wednesday 17th January, 2024, Allen, aged 58, beloved son of the late Cath and Bill, dear brother of Sheila and Ann, devoted brother-in-law and uncle of the family. Funeral service on Tuesday 6th February at Borders Crematorium, Melrose at 3.00pm. To which all family and friends are invited, family flowers only please.Tributes

Thank you
Recently my great friend Allen Turner passed away. This a thank you to all who spoke to us, allowed Allen to pat their dogs and stopped their cars ( so we could safely cross the road) , as we wandered around the highways , byways and paths of this beautiful area. We did travel further a field getting frozen at Cramond, wind blown going over the Forth Bridge, soaked to “ the breek erse” ( an Innerleithen saying apparently) in the Flotterstone valley. Most of all the walk up the Sware was the best by far, buzzards, foxes and deer came to meet us. The last push/ walk we did together was here, having craic with friends there and clapping dogs. He has flown now, but the wild laughter coming from that wheel chair in the distance could just be a memory of us.
