A PLUMBER who designed a device which stops water leaking from burst pipes is taking the world by storm with his new invention.
Ross Dickinson, from Walkerburn - whose product, the 'Kibosh', is used by plumbers to emergency seal broken pipes - has announced a deal with multi-national pipe giant Rothenberger to plug it Down Under.
It's now set to fill shelves in Australia and New Zealand.
And the Kibosh founder revealed other Borders businesses could benefit from a boost in trade.
Selkirk based manufacturers Cademuir Toolmaking Ltd, owned by Peebles man Colin McMillian, manufacture the product.
Ross said: "This is the moment I've been looking forward to.
"It's been a lot of hard work over the past five years and I've been going at it pretty much by myself."
He added: "Expanding into the international market is going to generate much more sales and the business will grow."
