A HOUSING development completed earlier this year in Peebles has been nominated for a national award.
Eildon Housing Association’s project in Dunwhinny Gardens is one of the finalists in the Scottish Homes Awards for the best development in the medium category for 11-25 units.
The 15 large family homes and one wheelchair bungalow feature sustainable credentials with striking, high quality design.
Dunwhinny Gardens is situated to the south of Peebles town centre, with close proximity to the High School.
All homes are designed to Housing for Varying need standard, are fully adaptable and barrier-free ensuring they can respond to changing requirements.
The development completed in January was designed by ASSIST Design Ltd and built by Hart Builders Edinburgh.
The project was funded by a combination of Eildon Housing Association borrowings and Scottish government grants.
An Eildon development in Kelso - at Rodger Fish Gardens - is also one of the finalists in the same category.
The winners will be announced at the Homes for Scotland Annual Lunch at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre on Friday, May 15.
