SOME 50 Cubs and Beavers from West Linton Scout Group enjoyed their biannual camp at the Scout Association’s National Activity Centre at Fordell Firs.
This year the camp took on a 'cartoon’ theme and there were certainly more than a few capers going on throughout the entire weekend.
The boys enjoyed abseiling, archery, climbing, crate climbing, pioneering, caving, trampolining and the somewhat terrifying 3-G swing.
The boys learned a whole range of backwoods cooking skills and cooked most of their meals on the campfire; knot work never goes out of fashion and they learned some potentially life-saving knots.
The Scottish weather held out until the last day of camp so as well as exhausted but completely exhilarated Cubs and Beavers - there was a substantial quantity of sodden kit and tents returned to West Linton at the conclusion of the fantastic camp.
