EDDLESTON enjoyed their annual Fancy Dress Parade.
Organised by the Eddleston Children’s Entertainment Committee, the event was open to all children from Eddleston Parish.
This year there was a wonderful turnout, much bigger than previous years and there were plenty of colourful costumes on display.
After the judging and awarding of prizes, the parade started from Eddleston Primary School, making its way around the village, led by the Peebles Ex-Servicemen’s Pipe Band and followed by the Eddleston Out of School Club’s Heroes and Villains Float.
The children’s and parents’ hard work paid off with a superb summer evening, which closed with the annual Eddleston versus Manor Valley Football Match.
The Eddleston Children’s Entertainment Committee would like to thank everyone who took part, including the police for traffic control and John Smellie for organising the Football Match.
