THE football-daft family of the late June Bon have scored a winner with a £12,000 contribution to the Margaret Kerr Unit.
June from Peebles was one of the first patients admitted to the palliative care unit near Melrose at the start of 2013.
Since her death, her three sons, David, Martyn and James, along with her husband, Robert, have organised the Margaret Kerr Unit Competition each year.
And earlier this month they presented a cheque to the unit for just over £12,000.
A spokeswoman for the Margaret Kerr Unit's fundraising arm, The Difference, said: "This fantastic family have raised over £12,000 for the Margaret Kerr Unit over the past four years."
Each year teams from the Peeblesshire and Edinburgh areas compete for the June Bon Memorial Cup.
A total of six teams competed this year at Ainslie Park, with several familiar faces, including Peebles Rovers gaffer Gerry Rossi and Vale of Leithen manager Chris Anderson.
The spokeswoman added: "The family dedicate many hours to planning the Margaret Kerr Unit Competition each year."
