A BORDERS hospital will remain closed to admissions this weekend following an outbreak of the vomiting bug.
Restrictions at Haylodge Hospital in Peebles were first introduced on Wednesday after patients began showing gastrointestinal symptoms.
As well as not allowing any new admissions, NHS bosses are discouraging visitors.
A spokesman told us: "Routine visiting is strongly discouraged at this time, and relatives and carers are asked to carefully consider their visits to the hospital over the weekend.
"The general advice is to stay away from any hospital ward if you or anyone in your family has experienced symptoms of diarrhoea and/or vomiting in the past 48 hours."
