THE Principals for this year’s Biggar Gala Week have been announced.
Biggar Cornet’s Club have selected Michael Allen as Cornet Elect to become the latest in a long line Cornets.
Michael is a familiar face to many as the manager of the family business The Elphinstone Hotel, in High Street.
He said: “I am absolutely delighted and honoured to be selected as Cornet Elect and I can’t wait for it all to start.”
Michael will take over as Cornet Elect when the 2018 Cornet Elect Allan Bartholomew is installed as Cornet in June.
The 2018 Cornet John Scott will take on the position of Right Hand Supporter.
The 2019 Fleming Queen Elect is Sophie Leech and Crowning Lady is Jill Goldie.
The 2019 Biggar Gala Week runs from June 9 to 15.
