A WOMAN has been rushed to hospital following a crash in Tweeddale.

Emergency services were called to the A72 between Innerleithen and Peebles earlier this afternoon.

A Vauxhall Insignia and a pick-up truck were involved in the collision.

The road wast closed for around two hours.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We were called out at around 11.45am following reports of a collision near Glenormiston.

"The road was closed and drivers were diverted through Traquair.

"A woman was taken to Borders General Hospital for treatment.

"The road was reopened at 2.15pm."
