FANS of music and unearthly stories will be able to see The Dark Carnival:Unplugged in Peebles and Galashiels this month.

The intimate music and stage show uses songs and storytelling to tell the tale of newcomers to the afterlife who discover that death is not actually the end.

The show features Biff Smith, the lead singer of A New International, who will entertain audiences with his original compositions.

The Scottish band released their first record 'Come to the Fabulon' in 2015 and have since risen to success, even playing at the Commonwealth Games in 2014.

Award-winning actor Robert Jack will accompany Biff as his virtuoso storyteller providing an innovative touch to the original Dark Carnival.

Trained at the RSAMD in Glasgow, Robert went on to win Best Male Performance for Rhinoceros, at the Critics’ Awards for Theatre in Scotland in 2018.

Following the premiere on the Isle of Eigg, the show will arrive at the Eastgate Theatre on May 18.

And the next day, they will head over for a performance at the MacArts Centre in Galashiels.

Tickets at the Eastgate will cost between £6-£14.

MacArts tickets for Sunday May 19, cost from £10-£12.

Both shows will begin at 7.30pm.
