AWARD winning wildlife writer, Richard Sale, will host a talk and presentation on Borders' wildlife in Carlops next month.

Dr Sale, who is based in the Bristol area, has an extensive career in wildlife photography and studying.

His work has taken him across the UK and even to the Arctic.

He is the first British person to win the US Wildlife Society Book of the Year award, doing so twice and most recently this year for his book on the world's largest email, Steller's Sea Eagle.

Richard has spent a lot of time in the Pentland Hills photographing the area's native birds of prey.

The talk on Saturday, October 12, will detail the wildlife on our doorsteps and display a selection of Richard's photographs locally and on his travels.

Starting at 7.00pm and ending 10.00pm at the Allan Ramsay Hotel, refreshments will be provided during the interval.

Tickets cost £10 and can be booked at https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/raptors-of-the-pentlands-a-talk-and-presentation-with-dr-richard-sale-tickets-70319362105
