PEEBLES community choir InChorus is adding its voice to the success of this year’s Biggar Little Festival.

Amongst an amazing array of festival events, InChorus will stage a free concert at Biggar Kirk on Monday, October 21 at 7.30pm.

Events Manager, Paul Sewell told us: “It is the choir’s aim to share our much loved brand of contemporary music with as many people in the Scottish Borders as possible.

"As it is some years since InChorus sang in Biggar, we thought it time that we visited again. The Biggar Little Festival has given us a reason to do that.”

The varied repertoire will include songs from around the world together with numbers by Queen, Camila Cabello, Billy Joel, Enya, the Beach Boys, Elton John and a wonderful Motown mash-up.

One sad note is that this will be the last event at which InChorus will be conducted by Musical Director, Aly Skidmore.

Choir Manager, Lorna Turnbull, explained: “Aly has moved away from the area and, consequently, after five very happy years, she will no longer be our MD.

"She is much loved by all choir members and we have enjoyed many varied musical experiences together. Her wee shoes will be very hard to fill.

"However, the choir is intent on making the Biggar concert a wonderful swan song for Aly, and we promise that the audience will leave with smiles on their faces and a song or two in their hearts.”
