A KELSO man will stand trial at Jedburgh Sheriff Court on a dangerous driving charge.
Joshua Watson, 25, of Orchard Park, denies the offence said to have happened on various roads in Kelso on August 8.
It is alleged he drove at excessive speed, failed to stop when requested to do so, forced a heavy goods vehicle to take evasive action to avoid a collision and lost control of the car he was driving and collided with a tree causing injury to himself and a female passenger.
Watson also pleaded not guilty to charges of failing to display L Plates while a provisional licence holder and driving with no insurance.
The trial date has been set for October 29.
