NOMINATIONS are now open for the 2020 Whipman from people who reside in the West Linton, Carlops, Newlands, Kirkurd, Lamancha and Dolphinton area.
Whipman voting boxes are in the local shops and the final day to cast votes is Saturday, February 1.
Alternatively locals can send their Nomination Form to Hamish Dykes, South Slipperfield, West Linton EH46 7AA in a sealed envelope to arrive no later than the same Saturday.
In a few weeks time all will be revealed at the Introduction Concert on Friday, March 20 in the Graham Institute when the 2020 Linton Whipman and his Lass are introduced to the public together with the Presenting Lady, Barony Herald and Flower Girl.
A few events happening prior to the Introduction Concert include on Saturday, January 25 there will be a Burns Evening in the Graham Institute at 7.30pm - contact Alan Stewart on 01968 660143 to book tickets.
And on Friday, January 31 a Junior Disco is being organised in the Graham Institute starting at 6pm for the younger children, followed by the Coffee Morning on Saturday, February 1 in the Graham Institute at 10am, which is also the last day for nominations.
