THIEVES stole a four-figure sum of cash during an overnight raid at a Borders supermarket.

The incident happened at around 1.30am today (Sunday) at Morrisons in Hawick.

"Although this happened during the night, we are appealing to anyone who may have seen any suspicious behaviour in the area.

"I would also ask those who have any dashcam footage that will assist with our investigation to get in contact with officers.
