LOCAL drama group Tweed Theatre is setting sail for the Lake District.
The talented company are putting the final touches to their production of Swallows and Amazons.
Tweed Theatre, who wowed audiences with Nativity last December, are planning on performing four different productions in 2020.
And where better to start than with Helen Edmundson's adaptation of Arthur Ransome's 1930 novel.
The challenging play opens in the attic of house, where Harry, now an old man, finds an old photo album.
As the photographs spring to life Harry is transported to the Lake District of his youth to relive the adventures of many years ago.
On Thursday and Friday, March 26 and 27, join John, Roger and Susan as the Swallows, Nancy and Peggy the Amazon Pirates, and their foe Captain Flint at the Eastgate Theatre.
Tickets are on sale from the box office.
