MORE than 90 health workers have been tested for coronavirus by NHS Borders.
Testing at the Borders General Hospital (BGH) began on March 18, a health board spokesperson said, with frontline staff being prioritised.
Of the 93 staff who have been tested, a total of 24 tested positive and 59 negative, while 10 are awaiting results.
Speaking on April 2, the spokesperson told the Border Telegraph: “We’re limited on the number of tests we can do but we do have protocol where we can prioritise staff who are at clinical frontline response or other staff who are critical to the COVID response.”
