UPDATE - 4pm - September 21, 2020 - Sofia Aslam has been traced, with police saying she is safe and well.
A MISSING girl has links to the Borders, police say.
Sofia Aslam, 15, was last seen in the Howdenhall Road area of Edinburgh at around 6pm on Thursday, September 17.
She has not been seen since, according to police, with concerns growing for her welfare.
Sofia is described as being a Pakistani female, of slim build, 5ft tall with long dark hair.
She was last seen wearing a purple crop top, black jeans and white Adidas trainers.
Inspector Cockburn, of Howdenhall police station, said: “Sofia has been missing for a number of days now and her friends and family are understandably worried about her.
“We have a number of police resources out looking for Sofia and I am now looking for assistance from the public.”
Anyone who may have seen Sofia, or has information on her whereabouts, is urged to contact Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 4131 of September 17, 2020.
