THE Borders has recorded 12 new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours.
The data was released by the Scottish Government at 2pm today (November 3).
The total number of Borders cases since March now stands at 740.
This latest increase comes after 29 new cases were reported over the weekend.
Nationally, in the last 24 hours, a total of 28 new deaths have been recorded of people who tested positive for the virus in the last 28 days. This increase brings Scotland's total number of COVID-19 deaths to 2,877.
In Scotland, there have been 999 new cases in the last 24 hours.
The total number of Scottish cases since March is 67,011.
The number of Borders patients in hospital with COVID-19 has risen to six.
