THE Borders has recorded 14 new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours.

The data was released by the Scottish Government at 2pm today (Friday, November 6).

The total number of Borders cases since March now stands at 767.

Across Scotland in the last 24 hours, a total of 31 new deaths have been recorded among people who tested positive in the last 28 days.

This increase brings Scotland's total number of COVID-19 deaths to 2,997.

Nationally, there have been 1,072 new cases in the last 24 hours.

The total number of Scottish cases since March is 70,732.

In the Borders, it remains that there are fewer than five patients in hospital with COVID-19.
