UPDATE - 10.10am on Sunday, February 7, 2021 - Missing man Bryan Smail has been found, say police.

A police spokesperson said: "Ambulance are checking him over as a precaution. Thank you to everyone who shared this appeal."

A BORDERS man has been reported missing, say police.

Officers are trying to trace Bryan Smail, 66, who has been reported missing from Innerleithen.

In a statement issued at 11.34pm on Saturday (February 6), a police spokesperson said: “We are appealing for the public’s help as part of our efforts to trace a man reported missing from Innerleithen.

“There are growing concerns for the 66-year-old who is known to frequent Cardrona Forest, Lee Pen and the area around the River Tweed north of Innerleithen.

“Bryan is described as white male, 5ft 11, large build with grey hair.

“Wearing denim jeans, a navy and white striped rugby shirt, black padded winter jacket, grey knitted woolly hat and dark coloured walking boots.

“Anyone who may have seen Bryan, or who has any information on his whereabouts, is urged to contact Police Scotland via 101 quoting incident number 3034 of 06/02/2021.”
