NO new cases of coronavirus have been recorded in the Borders for the fifth day in a row.
According to Scottish Government data released at 2pm today (Wednesday, March 24), the total number of COVID-19 cases since March 2020 remains at 2,857 – the same as last Friday.
The number of people in hospital in the Borders with the virus also remains at fewer than five for the 27th day running.
Nationally, a total of 215,075 people have tested positive for COVID-19 since the pandemic began last year.
