A MAN has been charged in connection with a "series of break-ins" in the Borders, say police.
It follows reports of incidents in Kelso and Hawick.
In a statement today (April 2), a Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police Scotland can confirm that a 52-year-old man has been arrested and charged in relation to a series of break-ins to businesses and cars in the Kelso and Hawick areas.
"The incidents took place throughout February 2021.
"The man is expected to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Saturday, April 3, 2021."
Detective sergeant Jamie Gilmore, from Galashiels CID, added: "We'd like to thank the public for their assistance."
