PUPILS from Peebles primary schools might not have been able to gather together to hail the festal day, but their memories of Beltane were brought to life last week.
Peebles Cornets’ Lasses Association organised a competition for children to draw, paint, or make a collage of their favourite Beltane memories.
The competition drew in 225 entries from budding young artists from Kingsland, Priorsford and Halyrude.
Each of the winners received a £10 Amazon voucher and their art is displayed in Tesco.
Winners: P3 Maria O’Hara – Halyrude; P5 Freya Garrison – Priorsford; P5/6 Rudi Ward – Kingsland; P7 Ava Lukehurst – Priorsford.
