Edinburgh Sheriff Court
A BORDERS man has received an 18-month jail sentence at Edinburgh Sheriff Court.
During a jury trial 38-year-old Paul Aries, of Hawick, changed his plea to guilty to an amended charge of assault and threatening or abusive behaviour in Hawick back in January.
The sentence was back-dated to January 25 when Aries was first remanded in custody which means he will be entitled to release.
