THE Borders has recorded 23 new cases of coronavirus in the last day, latest figures show.
According to Scottish Government data published at 2pm today (October 1), the Borders has now seen 7,526 cases of the virus since the start of the pandemic.
The new figures show there are currently 11 people in hospital with recently confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the region – one fewer than yesterday.
Scotland has now recorded 568,916 cases of the virus since March last year, according to the latest data.
