The Scottish Government published updated figures on coronavirus cases at 2pm today
THE Borders has recorded 61 new cases of coronavirus in the last day, latest figures show.
According to Scottish Government data published at 2pm today (October 7), the Borders has now seen 7,767 cases of the virus since the start of the pandemic.
The new figures show there are currently 14 people in hospital with recently confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the region – two more than yesterday.
Scotland has now recorded 583,019 cases of the virus since March last year, according to the latest data.
