PIPE and drum bands from across south east central Scotland enjoyed a sunny day in the Borders at the weekend for the Innerleithen Pipe Band Championships.

The championships, held at the Victoria Park on Saturday (June 4).

The bands had the perfect weather to perform in as the sun shone over Innerleithen.

A spokesperson for St Ronan's Piping Society shared on social media: "We would like to thank all bands and Drum Majors for taking part in yesterday’s 19th Innerleithen Pipe Band Championships.

"What a day it was and would not have been possible with all our sponsors, advertisers and patrons.

"We also pay thanks to the Vale Club for the official meal and refreshments.

"The weather was excellent, looking forward to next year."
