A PROGRAMME for youngsters designed to develop life skills to help improve their futures was held in the Borders last week.
Police Scotland’s youth engagement officer, PC Ryan Stuart, teamed up with the British Army Youth Development Team to run the event at Wilton Park, Hawick on July 12 and 13.
Activities included bridge building, code breaking, jungle maps, paint balling, assault course and a riot shield run.
Kerry Anderson (community learning development) Sandra Craig (school/home link worker) Gary Murray (Burnfoot Primary School) also attended to help out.
The event was considered to be of real benefit to local youngsters and Police Scotland say that it hopes to continue to run these kind of events in the region in the future.
