PEEBLESSHIRE has been issued with a rain warning by the Met Office.
A thunderstorm alert is currently in place covering most of the region and will last until 11.59pm tonight (August 15).
And a yellow warning for rain has now been issued by the forecasters from midnight to 10am tomorrow.
The Met Office said the conditions could cause disruption to travel.

A spokesperson said: “Further spells of rain, heavy at times, are expected during Tuesday early hours and morning. A further 20 to 30mm of rain could fall in some places and isolated rumbles of thunder are possible.
“This rain will start to become lighter and patchier during Tuesday morning before finally easing later on Tuesday.”
The warning covers all but the south east of the Borders.
