A 30-YEAR-OLD woman who lashed out at police officers with her arms and legs as they tried to arrest her has been fined £200 at Jedburgh Sheriff Court.
Jodie Turnbull pleaded guilty to obstructing police officers at house in King Street, Galashiels, on November 7 last year.
The court heard that police officers had attended at around 5.30pm after a report of a disturbance.
Turnbull was arrested in regards to an unrelated matter which is when she resisted officers.
When cautioned and charged she said: "I am sorry."
Defence lawyer Stephanie Clinkscale said her client had been involved in a struggle and had apologised.
She added her client had been in a toxic relationship at the time and had now relocated to Hawick.
In addition to the fine a £10 Victim Surcharge was imposed.
