MANY will remember when Hollywood came to the Borders last year, and now the region is set to hit the big screen.

Residents in Melrose and the surrounding areas were all buzzing with news that A-lister Harrison Ford, 78, was in town to film the latest installment of his famed alter-ego, Indiana Jones at Leaderfoot Viaduct.

During Ford's visit in June 2021, no title had been given for the feature, however, yesterday (Thursday, December 1) the trailer for Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny was released by Lucasfilms.

The new film will be the fifth in the franchise, and features new and old faces.

In the trailer, Dr Jones is seen talking to his old friend Sallah, played by the John-Rhys Davies - Sallah has not featured in the films since Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989.

New faces to the franchise include TV and Edinburgh Fringe favourite Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag), and Toby Jones (Captain America).

Jones joined Ford at Leaderfoot Viaduct last summer to film some of their scenes together.
