Sentence was deferred at Jedburgh Sheriff Court
A 42-YEAR-OLD woman has admitted embezzling more than £17,000 from a Berwickshire firm where she worked as a book-keeper.
Alyson Brown, of Marygate, Berwick-upon-Tweed, pleaded guilty to the offence which happened at CA Ramsay Partnership at Pittlesheugh between March and May 2022.
But sentence was deferred at Jedburgh Sheriff Court until the outcome of her trial.
She has denied forming a fraudulent scheme to obtain £1,899 using the account of a former employer. The trial is scheduled for September 14.
