PEEBLES High School pupils visited London this week for a tour of the House of Commons.
And during their visit, they met with Liberal Democrat Lord Purvis of Tweed and Conservative Tweeddale MP David Mundell.
The two parliamentarians spoke with the pupils about the workings of parliament before heading for a visit to Downing Street.
Mr Mundell said: “Welcoming young people to parliament is always one of the highlights of being a local MP and it was a pleasure to speak with the Peebles High pupils during their visit.
“It was great to see their enthusiasm for current affairs and for their local community and I very much hope they enjoyed their visit as much as I did.”
