A FORMER Selkirk footballer has arrived in the Love Island villa.

Ouzy See played for the Yarrow Park side during the infamous Garry O’Connor era and has spent his career in Scotland's lower leagues.

The Edinburgh-born 28-year-old, of Gambian descent, also played for Forfar Athletic, Berwick Rangers and Albion Rovers before returning to Edinburgh City in 2020 helping them win promotion to League One for the first time, scoring six goals in 41 appearances as they finished sixth in their debut season.

City tweeted: "We want to wish our striker Ouzy See all the best in the Love Island house, behave yourself big man, aye?"

Ouzy, who has 10,000 followers on Instagram, becomes the fourth footballer to be recruited by makers of the ITV series to tease the girls away from their partners in Casa Amor.

Viewers were left shocked after Friday evening's episode as six new boys and six new girls made their way into the two villas with hopes of finding love.

In addition to Ouzy the additional boys were revealed as Kodie Murphy, Zachary Ashford, Elom Ahlijah-Wilson, Lochan Nowacki and Benjamin Noel.

And Ouzy revealed that he has his sights set on one girl in particular but he is prepared to be flexible.

Ouzy said: “If I was in there from the start it would have been Ella. I’ve met Ella before on a photoshoot we were both working on and also on nights out in Edinburgh, although nothing has ever happened between us.

“I also like Leah, she’s incredibly pretty, I’m looking forward to getting to know her more. Kady interests me too, I watched her on series two and she was a bit of a firecracker.”
