A BODY has been found in the Burnfoot area of Hawick.
At around 2pm today (Wednesday, August 2) the body of a woman was found near Burnfoot.
Police say there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
The body has not been formally identified, however, the family of Jacqueline Trimby from Hawick, who was reported as missing yesterday (August 1), has been informed.
