SOME of music’s heavyweights are set to perform in the Borders this weekend.

Edge Fest will be held next to Lilliardsedge Holiday Park, located on the A68 between Jedburgh and St. Boswells.

The festival was launched in 2020 but was unable to go ahead due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Organisers have said they are determined to come back “bigger and better” this year, with the event kicking off on Saturday (September 2).

Legendary artist Billy Ocean will headline the first day, with other acts including Ella Henderson and Scottish singer Callum Beattie also set to perform.

On Sunday, Kitchen Disco queen Sophie Ellis-Bextor and BRIT Award-winner Gabrielle will take to the stage, with Scottish band Wet Wet Wet closing the night.

Organiser Stuart Macdonald said: “We’ve expanded the event to now include two full days of live music, DJs and activities for kids with weekend camping, luxury accommodation and touring caravan pitches available.

“We’re beyond excited to be welcoming bringing some huge artists to our Victory Stage this year and we are really looking forward to welcoming the public to our most anticipated event to date.”
