AN IMMERSIVE musical experience is set to put audiences into the classical baroque world of one of the world's greatest composers.
Magical Mozart by Candlelight, performed by the European Baroque Ensemble with world-class opera singers, will transport you back in time to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's heyday.
The programme is full of the maestro's most memorable operas, including:
- The Magic Flute
- The Marriage of Figaro
- Cosi Fan Tutte
- Don Giovanni
Talented vocalists will take to the stage to bring some of Mozart's most popular operas to life.
Singers joining the event will include baritone Anthony Stuart Loyd, coloratura soprano Mandy Watsham, and Maria Kesselman (who played Christine opposite Michael Crawford in Phantom of the Opera on the West End).
Alongside the European Baroque Ensemble the singers will perform a range of Mozart's classics.
The ensemble is formed of some of Europes finest classical performers who breathe new life into the music.
The musicians will show their talents with instrumental performances including
- Symphony no. 40
- Lacrimosa (Requiem D minor) Queen of the night
- Eine Kleine Nacht Musik, Divertimenti in D major
A spokesperson for the show said: "The great success of this show is that it brings Mozart to life in a way which appeals to the afficionado and opera buff as it does to the uninitiated viewing opera for the first time."
Magical Mozart by Candlelight will take to the Victoria Halls stage in Selkirk on Monday, November 13 from 7.30pm.
Tickets are £20.
