There will be no household waste and recycling collections on Monday December 25 or Monday January 1 2024.
Scottish Borders Council has rescheduled all these collections to alternative days.
The majority of household waste and recycling collections will take place as scheduled on Tuesday December 26 and Tuesday January 2, however some have been rescheduled.
There will be no food waste collections on Monday December 25, Tuesday December 26, Monday January 1 and Tuesday January 2.
Residents are advised check the SBC online postcode lookup.
Bulky Collections will be cancelled between December 19 and January 11 inclusive.
Christmas Trees can be taken to any Community Recycling Centre for composting.
During the festive period the amount of waste and recycling generated increases significantly.

Keep using the Community Recycling Centres
SBC will collect extra recycling presented in bags (not black bags) and placed beside your recycling bin
Wash and squash recycling to maximise capacity in recycling bins.
Park vehicles considerately to enable our waste vehicles to access tight streets and carry out collections.
