TIME is running out for the public to recognise NHS Borders staff who they feel have gone that extra mile.

The Celebrating Excellence awards show recognition and appreciation for the hard-work, dedication and commitment to providing excellent services demonstrated by staff and by volunteers.

The award categories reflect NHS Borders values and will celebrate individuals and teams who have worked hard.

Karen Hamilton, chair of NHS Borders said: “Providing excellent patient care is what we strive to do every day. Our staff work incredibly hard to support the people of the Borders when they need us and it is so important that we recognise their hard work and dedication.

“I am pleased that, after four years, our annual Celebrating Excellence awards are back following the pandemic.

“Seeing what it means to someone when their name is announced as a finalist or a winner at our awards ceremony is heart warming and inspirational – if a member of our staff or team has improved your experience, delivered high quality care or improved your health and well-being, please nominate them today.”

Nominations are open now and will close at midnight on Sunday, January 14.

The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on Friday, April 19 at Springwood Park, Kelso.
