A WOMAN has been taken hospital after falling near Galashiels, according to police.
Emergency services responded following the incident at Gala Hill on Sunday (January 7).
Eight members of Tweed Valley Mountain Rescue Team (TVMRT) helped get the woman into an ambulance just over an hour after the initial callout.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We were made aware of a woman injured after falling in the Stannis Burn area and officers attended to assist.
"She was taken to hospital by ambulance for treatment."
It was TVMRT's second callout of 2024.
The first was on New Year's Day to help search for a missing person who was found and passed to the ambulance service.
