AN 11-YEAR-OLD girl involved in a collision with a bin lorry has died, according to police.
She has been named as Elizabeth Bell from East Gordon.
The incident took place shortly after 8am on Wednesday, January 31, on the A6105 near a junction with an unclassified road.
The 11-year-old was taken to the Royal Hospital for Children in Edinburgh where she died on Wednesday (February 7).
Sergeant Dom Doyle said: “Our thoughts are with Elizabeth’s family and they have asked for privacy at this very difficult time.
“Enquiries are ongoing and we are asking anyone who has not already spoken to officers and can assist with our investigation to get in touch.”
