PEOPLE have been urged to check outbuildings and sheds as police look to trace a missing Borders man.

Roy Sawers, formerly of Duns, was last seen in the vicinity of Borders General Hospital at around 4.30pm on Wednesday (February 21).

The 59-year-old does not currently have a fixed address and has been known to live outdoors in tents, according to police.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Roy is described as a white Scottish male, around 5ft 10 inches tall, he is of slim build with no teeth. He has short, brown hair and is clean shaven.

“He was last seen wearing navy tracksuit bottoms and a navy tracksuit top with white stripes on the arms.

“If anyone has seen Roy, or has any information as to his present whereabouts, please contact police. We would also urge people who live in the area to check outbuildings and sheds.

“Anyone who may have seen him, or who has any information on his whereabouts is urged to contact 101 quoting incident number 2985 of February 21, 2024.”
