A 28-YEAR-OLD man has been convicted of a series of sexual offences following a week-long trial at the High Court in Edinburgh.
Luke Thomson, formerly of Hawick but who gave an address in Galashiels, was convicted by the jury of seven counts of assault and rape by majority verdicts.
They also found him guilty of four sexual assaults and another charge of assault and attempted rape.
The offences happened at various locations in the Borders going back several years.
Sentence was deferred until April 2 for the production of background reports and Thomson was remanded in custody.
