A GALASHIELS man who struck a man over the head with a glass bottle leaving him with a permanent scar has been given a night-time home curfew for the next four months.
Twenty-eight-year-old Jordan Whittaker must stay in his Chris Paterson Place home between the hours of 9pm and 7am.
A jury found him guilty of assault to injury and permanent disfigurement following a two-day trial.
He smashed the bottle over the head of his victim in the High Street car park in Galashiels on December 17, 2021.
Whittaker was found not guilty by the jury of assaulting another man and a woman and also cleared of threatening or abusive behaviour.
