THE Borders has recorded no new coronavirus-related deaths in the last week, latest figures show.
Data released today (Wednesday, June 16) by the National Records of Scotland shows that in the Borders between June 7-13, no deaths where COVID-19 was listed on the death certificate were recorded in the region.
The previous week (May 31-June 6) the Borders reported one death by this measure – this marked the first death in seven weeks for the region.
Nationally, 3,435 deaths have been recorded in 2021, however, the total since the start of the pandemic stands at 10,137.
