Tweedmouth Amateurs also defeated Hawick United 2-1.
Newtown thrashed Selkirk Victoria 10-1 and Biggar United beat St Boswells 6-0 as both sides set the early pace in Division C.
Callum Hope scored two as Hawick Legion Rovers drew their third game in a row, in a 3-3 thriller against Lauder, while Kelso Thistle were comfortable 3-0 winners over Melrose.
Peebles Amateurs game with CFC Bowholm was called off due to a lack of available referees.
