PEEBLESSHIRE can now boast two new Scottish champions following the Masters Cross Country event at Johnstone.
Susan Ridley claimed first in the Over 50s race with a time of 27.46 minutes.
And she was followed across the line just six seconds later by the winner of the Over 55s race, Carol Moss from the Moorfoot club.
There was a double celebration for Susan as she also led Edinburgh AC to the Over 50s team gold.
The two Gala Harrier women's teams were both narrowly edged out of the medals.
The 40-50-years team of Katy Barden, Julia Johnstone and Gillian Duncan were placed fourth.
And the Over 50s team of Lindsay Dun, Carole Fortune and Eileen Maxwell were also fourth.
But there was a further Borders medal with Frank Birch from Teviotdale Harriers, who finished third in the Over 75s race.
