SCOTLAND Under 20s suffered a heavy defeat to France at the Stade Armandie, Agen last night.
BORDERER Corey Tait retained his place in Scotland’s starting line up along with Southern Knight Rudi Brown and former Hawick player Ben Evans.
Former Duns player Johnny Rutherford was listed as a replacement.

The Scots went into the fixture in a confident mood following their victory over Wales two weeks ago and their strong performance against England in the opening game of the tournament.
Brown managed to get on the score sheet with his third try in the 2023 Under-20 Six Nations and Tait played a major role in Ruaraidh Hart’s try.

The French led 33-12 at half time and Rutherford made his presence off the bench known.
But despite the best efforts of the Scots, it wasn’t to be and in the end a highly physical French side proved too strong for the young Scots.
The full match report will appear in next week’s Border Telegraph.
